Fordongianus: Roman baths
A small town in the Tirso valley, built over the ruins of Forum Traiani.
About the place
The Roman baths grew up around a hot spring, about 54-56 degrees C depending on the source, and are among the best-preserved Roman monuments in Sardinia. The site has a rectangular pool, basins, a nymphaeum and bathing rooms.
In town you can also see the Casa Aragonese, from the 16th-17th century and partly a museum, and the 11th-century church of San Lussorio, built on a late-antique necropolis.
