Cabras Civic Museum and the Giants of Mont'e Prama
The museum that holds the large Nuragic sandstone statues found in the Sinis in 1974.
About the place
The Giovanni Marongiu civic museum gathers finds from Tharros and from the prehistoric villages around the lagoon. Its highlight is the Giants of Mont'e Prama: boxers, archers, warriors and models of nuraghi.
Their date is still debated, somewhere between the Late Bronze Age and the first millennium BC. An important part of the statues is also in the National Archaeological Museum in Cagliari.
